THREADS LIFT

Threads may be small, but the results are mighty!

  • A thread facelift is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that uses dissolvable sutures to lift and tighten the skin. This treatment is used to address signs of aging in the face, such as sagging skin and loss of volume.
  • The thread facelift procedure involves the insertion of dissolvable sutures under the skin using a small needle. Once the sutures are in place, they are gently pulled to lift and tighten the skin.
  • The threads also stimulate collagen production, which can help to improve the overall texture and appearance of the skin.
  • One of the main benefits of the thread facelift is that it is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment that can be performed in-office with minimal downtime.
  • Unlike traditional facelift surgery, there are no incisions, and the procedure typically takes less than an hour to complete.
  • PDO (polydioxanone) threads are one of the most popular types of thread facelifts. These threads are made from a biodegradable material and are inserted into the skin using a small needle. The threads stimulate collagen production, which helps to improve the overall texture and appearance of the skin.

BENEFITS

  • Non-surgical: Thread treatments are a non-surgical alternative to traditional facelift surgery. They do not require incisions or general anesthesia, which means there is less risk of scarring and other complications.
  • Minimal downtime: Unlike traditional facelift surgery, which requires several weeks of downtime, most thread treatments have minimal downtime. Patients can typically resume their normal activities within a few days of the procedure.
  • Natural-looking results: Thread treatments provide natural-looking results that can last for several months to several years. The threads help to stimulate collagen production, which can improve the overall texture and appearance of the skin.
  • Versatile: Thread treatments can be used to address a wide range of concerns, including sagging skin, loss of volume, and fine lines and wrinkles. They can be used in various areas of the face, such as the cheeks, jowls, and neck.
  • Customizable: Thread treatments can be customized to meet the unique needs and goals of each patient.

Post procedure care

  • It is important to avoid strenuous exercise and heavy lifting for at least 1-2 weeks after the procedure, as this can increase blood flow and swelling.
  • After a thread lift, your skin may be more sensitive to the sun’s harmful rays. It is important to wear protective clothing and apply a high-quality sunscreen to protect your skin from sun damage.
  • Use cold compresses to help reduce swelling and discomfort, you can apply cold compresses to the treated area for 10-15 minutes at a time, several times a day.
  • It is important to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for several weeks after the procedure, as this can cause the threads to shift and affect the results.
  • Follow a healthy skincare routine
  • At our clinic we  provide you with specific post-procedure care instructions to follow after a thread lift. It is important to follow these instructions carefully to ensure optimal results and minimize the risk of complications.

Keep in mind

  • It is common to experience some swelling and bruising after a thread facelift. This usually resolves within a few days to a week.
  • Some patients may experience mild discomfort or pain after the procedure, which can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
  • There is a small risk of infection with any cosmetic procedure. Patients should follow their practitioner’s instructions carefully to reduce the risk of infection.
  • In rare cases, the threads used in a thread facelift can migrate or become visible under the skin. This can be corrected with additional treatment.
  • Some patients may experience an allergic reaction to the materials used in the threads. This is rare but can be serious and requires medical attention.
